MYOTHERAPY
Myotherapy is a trusted healthcare profession that takes a whole-of-care approach to effectively assess, treat and manage dysfunction, pain and injury.
It helps people in pain to move better, feel better and live their best life.
Myotherapy treatment applies a range of techniques, including manual hands-on therapy, soft tissue manipulation techniques (massage), myofascial cupping, hot/cold therapies, stretching and corrective exercises. This evidence-based approach works to support client outcomes and treats not only the symptoms but the root cause of the dysfunction.
Gayle has been a practising myotherapist for 30 years and uses clinical reasoning, hands-on therapies, problem solving and planning, to design and implement treatment and management programs specific to client needs and health outcomes. Gayle has furthered her practice with Emmett Technique – a special form of body therapy that involves application of light finger pressure at specific points.
In addition, Gayle qualified as a certified Pilates instructor more than 15 years ago; seeking to offer a gentle and accessible movement method for every body.
Gayle is registered with Myotherapy Association Australia (MA). Private health rebates are available.
